COVID Mitigation Plan for 2021 US Open
All attendees must do a self-evaluation prior to entering the facility and sign a waiver they are clear of any potential COVID symptoms
No body aches
No gastrointestinal distress
No loss of smell or taste
No sore throat
Have not been in contact with anyone with COVID
You must perform these evaluations even if you have been fully vaccinated and/or have negative COVID test.
Disney protocols will take precedent over all mitigations listed here if there is a conflict.
All seating will be arranged to insure required physical distancing is maintained.
Tournament schedule will be set up to run in shifts by age groups to limit capacity not to exceed maximums set by Disney. (see below)
All non-performing competitors, spectators, officials and staff must wear masks at all times. The mask must be fit to the face. Gators are not permitted.
Performers must wear a mask at all times until they step in the ring to perform. Mask must be worn as soon as performance is complete.
As necessary mats and tables will be disinfected as required by Disney policy.
All non-family members will maintain the required physical distance from each other.
All Team and specialty competition will be held first thing in the morning, This includes Traditional Forms Challenge, Self Defense and Handicapable Divisions
Extreme/Musical/Creative/Traditional Weapons and Extreme/Musical/Creative Forms will be run in shifts based on age and rank, followed by continuous sparring
Friday evening Night of Victory
Traditional Forms (excluding the Traditional Challenge) and Point/Clash Sparring will be run in shifts based on rank and age
Saturday evening Night of Champions
